Calculator

Pick an experience level, how many videos and photos you need, and whether the brand will run the content as paid ads. The range recalculates as you type and the link in your address bar is shareable.

Per-video ranges are Insense's published guide. Experience and production effort set the tier, not follower count.

Within a beginner band the spread is wide. Quote toward the top if you are handing over raw footage plus a finished edit, and toward the bottom for a simple raw clip. Marketplaces may take a fee out of what the creator receives.

Frequently asked questions

What are typical UGC rates?

Insense's rate guide (updated 14 Sep 2026) lists $50 to $400 per video for beginners, $150 to $1,000 for mid-level creators and $500 to $3,000 or more for premium work. Collabstr's 2025 transaction data put the average UGC payment at $177.68. Your price depends on experience, editing and the rights you grant.

How much do usage rights add to a UGC rate?

Nobody publishes one standard figure. Insense says the base rate covers narrow organic use, and paid ads, extra platforms or a longer window cost more, with perpetual rights the biggest ask. This calculator's default of +30% to +100% is an editable assumption from Seed's rate calculator, not a quoted market rate.

Do UGC rates depend on follower count?

Mostly no. Because the brand posts the content from its own account, the creator's audience size matters far less than production quality, editing, hooks and track record. Insense frames its tiers around experience and production effort. If the creator posts the content to their own audience, price it as a sponsored post instead.

How much should I charge for my first UGC video?

JoinBrands lists a $60 default and a $50 floor for a standard UGC video, and $100 for short-form TikTok, Reels or Shorts jobs. Insense's beginner band is $50 to $400. Start near the lower half of that range, then raise the price as you add portfolio pieces and results. Always state the usage rights in your quote.

Does the creator keep everything a brand pays?

Not on marketplaces. JoinBrands publishes a 20% fee on approved earnings for free-tier creators and 15% for Creator Pro subscribers. Other platforms do not publish their creator-side split. If you are quoting a brand directly, there is no platform cut, so you can price against the full range above.

Methodology and sources

Last updated: October 29, 2026

Total = (videos x per-video rate + photos x per-image rate) x (1 + usage uplift). The low end uses the low rate and low uplift; the high end uses the high rate and high uplift. The midpoint is the average of the two. Nothing is rounded until display.

These are published reference ranges, not Seed data and not a guarantee of what any brand will pay. Raw footage versus a finished edit, exclusivity and turnaround time also move price and are not modelled here.
